School Sister of Notre Dame Mary Austin Austin, 89, died Nov. 9, 2004, at the Lourdes Health Center in Wilton, Conn.
She earned a master's degree at Boston College and taught for more than 40 years in elementary and high schools, including Bishop Kearney High School in Irondequoit. She then served the congregation as archivist for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1994.
Sister Mary Austin is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Albert Austin of Pennsylvania; her nephew, David McEntee of Massachusetts; and her sisters in the congregation.
Her funeral liturgy was celebrated in the Motherhouse chapel in Wilton, Conn., on Nov. 15, 2004, with burial at the convenience of the family.
