A retired pipe fitter and member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 198, he died at 1:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his home in Greenwell Springs. He was 74 and a native of Centreville, Miss. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Gary Rayburn. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Mary M. Blalock; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Oran Callaway; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey and Pat Blalock and Tim and Kim Blalock; three sisters, Juanita Bowman, Doris Leonard and Billie Ann Robbins. a brother, John Paul Blalock; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Melissa, Paul, Casey, Chants and Brianna; and three great-grandchildren, Karli, John and Katelyn. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
