Davey Boy Smith enjoyed life with the infamous Hart Family in Calgary, AB, Canada so much that he married Stu and Helen's youngest daughter Diana. And so another member was added to the Hart Foundation. He followed Bret Hart to World Championship Wrestling after the famous Montreal Screwjob that took place in November, 1997, he couldn't match the fame he had in the WWF, and part-way through 1998, Bulldog injured his back, and was fired by WCW a number of months later. After hurting his back on a trapdoor in the ring, a near fatal motorcycling accident, a bitter divorce from Diane, and spinal infection, he battled an addiction to prescription painkillers. After being fired from the WWF in 2000, he was hoping to start a wrestling school before his sudden death Friday evening May 17. Davey was trying to make a comeback as a wrestling team with his teenage son Harry, 15. He died in the arms of girlfriend Andrea Hart (wife of his former brother-in-law, Bruce Hart) while vacationing in British Columbia, Canada. In 2020, Smith was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
