Portland - Lorena Clark Allan, devoted wife, and loving mother, and grandmother, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004 at Mercy Hospital of complications from progressive supranuclear palsy.

Born in Portland on Dec. 3, 1923, she was the daughter of Haddon B . and Alta (Keith) Clark. She graduated from Westbrook High School in 1941.

Mrs. Allan worked at the Casco Bank in Woodfords, later at the Westbrook Trust Company and Northeast Bank (Fleet) in North Windham where she was the assistant manager.

Rena lived at Little Sebago Lake for many years and enjoyed entertaining friends and family on the lawn. She loved boating on the lake, was a fantastic cook and enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the U.S.A., and visiting relatives in New Brunswick, Canada. She looked forward to the annual family picnic at the lake.

Mrs. Allan was a member of the board at the New Marblehead Manor, where she was also treasurer for 15 years and a regular volunteer.

Rena and her husband, Bob, of 59 years, enjoyed their Model A's and their many friends in the 'Back Forty Antique Auto Club.'

She resided in Raymond with her husband in their house surrounded by beautiful flower gardens.

Lorena was predeceased by her beloved brother, Roy Clark, of Gorham and her stepmother, Eleanor Clark.

Surviving her are her husband, Robert; two daughters, Judy Gaouette and husband, Pete of Dover, N.H., and Nancy Bryson and husband, Robert of Steuben; two brothers, Keith Clark and his wife, Ruth of Cumberland and Donald Clark and his wife, Marilyn of Gray; a special sister-in-law, Joan Clark of Gorham; six grandchildren, Heidi Schellenger and husband, Jim of Roundup, Mont., Beck Lundy of Shreveport, La., Shawn Lundy of Tampa, Fla., Matthew Myers and wife, Nicole of Orono; Jason Myers of Williamsburg, Va., and Ryan Myers of Chantilly, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Corinna and Olivia. She also leaves behind many very special nieces, nephews and cousins with whom she had maintained a very close relationship. Rena also leaves behind brothers-in-law, Jim Allan of Standish and Roger Shaw and his wife, Adrith of Baldwin.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m., at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the chapel. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Gorham.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Allan's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
