Clarence J. Geiser, age 93, of Chilton died at his home on January 13, 2011.

He was born January 3, 1918 in Chilton, son of the late August & Rosa (Greuel) Geiser. He married Martha Muellenbach on July 15, 1946 in Charlesburg and shared their lives together for over 64 years. Together, Clarence and his wife, Martha ran the family dairy farm in the town of Charlestown.

Clarence's knowledge and talents in business, agriculture, mechanics, carpentry, and care for animals led to a successful family farm. As a carpenter, Clarence picked up many hammers in his life to build or remodel beautiful homes. In 1985, he created and built their retirement home without blueprints on paper, but in his mind.

In his free time, Clarence enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He loved to go to the nearby river to catch Northern. Once, when the fish weren't biting on Lake Winnebago, Clarence, at the age of 65, decided, "The heck with this", and went water skiing. During the winter, he usually found sturgeon fishing successful and snowmobiling an adventure. Even at the age of 70, the 'young gang' would go out snowmobiling with Clarence, and he would surely outlast most into the wee hours of the morning.

Clarence was a team player for the St. Mary's Dartball League, collecting shelves of trophies throughout those years. He played many hands of Sheepshead, and Skat with friends and relatives, even winning a few from time to time. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Knights, and practiced his Catholic faith with fellow parishioners of Good Shepherd Parish. Later in his life, his health may have kept him from going to church, but it did not stop him from prayer. Up to this very summer, Clarence took great pride in his huge garden and flower beds. Weeds had no chance to exist amongst the thriving flowers and vegetable plants. His passion was to grow, harvest, and enjoy God's gifts of the great outdoors.

Clarence bestows great memories to his survivors, his loving wife, Martha; four children, Harold Geiser of Chilton, Joseph (Jody) Geiser of Charlesburg, Donald (Ruth) Geiser of Chilton, and Linda (Ron) Alger of Chilton. The grandchildren who were blessed to have Grandpa Geiser in their lives include, Charissa Alger and special friend Brian Breit and daughter Maddy, Cassandra Alger, Adam Geiser, Joshua Geiser, and Derek Geiser. Clarence is further survived by his brother, Richard (JoAnn) Geiser of Belgium, WI, and a sister, Berna (Bob) Pero of St. Augustine, FL; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Geiser & Bertilla Muellenbach of Charlesburg; a brother-in-law, Claude Gebhart of Chilton.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Werner Geiser; sisters, Mildred Gebhart and Leona (Edward) Keuler; brothers-in-law, John Muellenbach, Frank Muellenbach; and sisters-in-law, Mary Muellenbach, Leona (John) Karls, and Veronica (Edward) Karls.

Funeral service will be on Monday, January 17, 2011 St. Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 54 E. Main St., in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum.

God has called His angels to open the gates wide to welcome this great man, Clarence Joseph Geiser, to everlasting life in heaven.
