Following a stroke of paralysis Mrs. Hannah Glass, age 80, and a resident of this community for the past 40 years, died last midnight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Jeffries, Indianapolis. She had gone there a week ago for a short visit and was taken ill shortly after her arrival.
For the past two years the deceased had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Wardwell northeast of the city and she was widely known here. She was married to a Mr. Howard when young, and to the union were born Fame Jeffries, and Leah Staley, of Indianapolis, and Thad Howard. Mr. Howard was killed in the Civil War and she married a second time to Mr. Glass, who she survived, and to this union were born Mrs. Mollie Wardwell, Earl Glass and Dellue Glass.
The funeral will be held Saturday at the home of the granddaughter, Mrs. Claude Downham,. Interment will follow in the city cemetery.
