Henry was the son of David Henry Campbell and Christine Ullrich. On 17 Sep 1902 he married Ida Eschmann and they had three children: an unnamed infant girl, Helen and George. Henry had several occupations over the years including being a wrapper in a tobacco factory, a salesman for a retail grocery and he also worked in a preserving company. His death certificate listed his occupation as retired brewery worker. He died of cancer of the esophagus at the age of 65.
