Private, Co I, 52nd PA Vol. Infantry
26 Sep 1864 - 2 Jun 1865
Widow Pension: Applied Sept. 16, 1879
I, Linda, suspect that Frederick's father, Jacob Younkin, and his mother, Sarah 'Salome' Weimer, are also buried in this cemetery in one of the many fieldstone marked graves, but cannot prove it. My hunch is partly based on the fact that several of their children and grandchildren are buried here. There are a number of other Younkin cemeteries in the area, and they are not there. Also, this land was owned by the Younkin family. Needs more research in the deeds office.
