Daughter of John Miller Kavanaugh, grandson of the founder of Richmond, Kentucky, and Semiramis Shelton Woods. Her mother died when she was about ten. The children went to live with aunts and uncles. She lived with Thomas and Appeline Woods. She was an avid horsewoman.

She married James Ward Draper of Chestnut Mound, Smith County, TN. They had ten children, seven of whom survived to adulthood:

William Wallace
Mourning Sophia
Fannie Woods
Polly Ann
James Patrick
Elizabeth "Betty/Bessie"

Three died in infancy:
Warren Nichols
Martha
Samaramis Lee

She died in either 1905 or 1906, at the home of her daughter Fannie. I am checking to see which year is correct.
