CATHERINE MCLAUGHLIN was born January 22, l805, and died January 27, l898, aged 93 years and 5 days.
She never united with any church denomination but was a devoted mother and lived an exemplary life and obeyed the golden rule. She lived 43 years in Decatur County and her acquaintances eulogize her life as one worthy to follow. She lived long but faithfully, waiting for the summons to come home.
Services were conducted at Elk Chapel by REV. J.W. CRONK of Tuskeego, from the text "For I know that thou wilt bring me to death and the place appointed to all living". The remains were then laid to rest in the cemetery south of the Church.
