German nobility. She was born Friederike Elisabeth Amalie Auguste, the seventh child of Friedrich Eugen von Württemberg and his wife Friederike von Brandenburg-Schwedt in Trzebiatów. Only fifteen years old she married Peter of Holstein-Gottrop in 1781. She bore him two sons, August and Georg, and died shortly after giving birth to a stillborn child.
