John Henry Whery and Caroline Kunstler were married on Oct. 23, 1847 in Hamilton Co., OH. Parents of 15 children: Louis/Ludwig, Ira, Henry, Charles, Matilda [Clark], Emelia [Leichner], Hermana, Mary[Raifsnyder], Ferdinand, Veronica, an unnamed infant and others.

DEATH COMES TO CAROLINE WHERY
Aged Women Had Lived Here for Nearly Half a Century.
Mrs. Caroline Whery, aged eighty four years, a resident of Fort Wayne for nearly a half century, died 8:20 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home, 456 West William street. Her death was due to complications and followed an illness of more than nine months duration.
Mrs. Whery had a wide circle of warm acquaintances in Fort Wayne and vicinity and news of her death will come as a shock to all who knew her, in spite of the fact that her condition has been regarded as serious for some time.
Surviving she leaves the following children Louis, Ira, Henry and Charles Whery, of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Raif Snyder, of Denver, and Mrs. Tillie Clark of Fort Wayne. She also leave six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was a charter member of St Patrick's Catholic church in less active in the affairs of the Rosary society of the congregation until ill health forced her to retire.
