Mr. Satterfield died Thursday in Ball Hospital following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Muncie.
Mr. Satterfield graduated from Central High School. He was employed at Warner Gear for more than 30 years prior to taking a disability retirement in 1973. He was a member of Local 287 United Auto Workers and served as a member of its insurance committee, union steward and union committeeman. He was a former local Democratic party worker.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Allen, Gaston, Mrs. Alberta Leon, Salinas, Calif., and Mrs. Deanna Williamson, Pasadena, Calif.; a son, Edwin G. Satterfield, Jr., Muncie; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Terry Seagraves and Mrs. Kathy Seagraves, both of Muncie; a stepson, Richard Hahn, stationed with the U.S. Air Force; two brothers, Dana Satterfield, Muncie, and Albert Satterfield, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Velda Weaver, Florida; and 12 grandchildren.
