A Church Fair At Short Tract
Northern Christian Advocate
October 7, 1896
A church fair was held in Pitts Hall on Friday afternoon and evening, September 11. A large variety of fancy work, quilts, vegetables, etc. were on exhibition, the most of which were sold at private sales. L. D. Reynolds, a former resident of this place, was present and kindly consented to sell the remaining articles at auction. Ice cream and cake were served by the young ladies. The hall was tastefully decorated, the weather was all that could be desired, and all enjoyed the occasion very much. Receipts of the day amounted to $47.00, and was used in paying the pastor, E. E. WARNER, who is closing his fourth year on this charge.
