John J. DeLuca, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust DeLuca, 129 Eight street northwest, was killed July 18, 1944, near St. Lo, France. He had entered the service Sept 14, 1942 as a member of the infantry unit. He was awarded the good conduct medal, European Theatre of Operations ribbon with two battle stars, the combat infantryman's badge and the Purple Heart.
