Thanks to Find A Grave member for the following information: "Edmund was born about 1637, probably in Lynn, Massachusetts. He was the son of Edmund Bridges and his wife, Elizabeth [Manwaring]. The younger Edmund was a blacksmith, and lived Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 1660, Andover, Massachusetts, in 1664 and Topsfield, Massachusetts, in 1668. He later lived in in Salem, Massachusetts. He married Sarah Towne at Topsfield on January 11, 1659/60. She was the daughter of William Towne and Joanna Blessing of Topsfield. They had three children in Topsfield by 1667, and moved to Salem before 1669, where they had two more children, including Hannah. Edmund died on June 24, 1682, in Salem Village. His estate inventoried at over £202. He was also known as sergeant. He and/or his son apparently built a wharf in 1680 at Salem.
