Floyd R. Lephart, Sr., 72, a Warner Gear employee, 3305 E. Fourteenth St., died Saturday in Ball Hospital, where he ws admitted Wednesday after becoming ill.

Mr. Lephart was born in Muncie and was a lifelong resident of this community. He attended Central High School and during World War II, served in the Phillipine Islands with the Army. After discharge from service, Mr. Lephart was employed 10 years at Chevrolet-Muncie before becoming an employee at Warner Gear, where he completed 32 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 19 and Warner Gear Sympathy Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Jean (Holdcroft) Lephart; a daughter, Delores (Mrs. Denver) Jessie, Muncie; a son, Floyd R. (Rolland) Lephart Jr., Durango, Colo.; three sisters, Audrey (Mrs. Dick) Beal, Carol Frances (Mrs. Don) Huxhold, and Norma (Mrs. Bob) Craig, all of Muncie; nine brothers, Don, Fred, Ernest, Carl, David, and Roy Lephart, all of Muncie, Harold and James Lephart, both of Springport, and Earl Lephart, Columbus; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary, with Rev. Rusty Clements officiating. Interment will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours at the mortuary are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today.
