Agnes Carney, 95, died Monday, January 24, 1994 in Wellington.
Mrs. Carney was born in Arthur City, TX on May 1, 1898 to Abe and Hattie Williams Ellis. She came to Wellington in 1924 where she was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bennie Bishop, Sr. and by her second husband, Eugene Carney.
Survivors include three sons: Bennie Bishop, Jr., and Charles Carney, both of Amarillo and Abe Bishop of Fairfield, CA; four daughters, Hattie Walker, Vera Johnson, Bobbie Shrubs and Ruby Nash, all of Wellington; a step-son, James Albert Carney of Denver, CO; a step-daughter, Helen Hatch of Denver, CO; 34 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
