She married Arthur Henry Richter on January 08, 1891 in the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany, Minnesota. Arthur and Mary had 9 children, 8 lived to adulthood. Some of their children went to California during the mid 1930s. Arthur and Mary soon followed them.
She was preceded in death by her husband on September 3, 1946 and 2 daughters, Clara (Edward) Dirkes, and Eleanora Richter.
She was survived by 2 sons, Arthur (Gertrude Welle) Richter and Edwin (Martha Walker) Richter; 5 daughters, Otillia (Aloys) Welle, Magdalena (Martin) Kammermeier, Alvina (Nicholas) Laubach, Cathereine (Arthur) Zylstra, and Ida (Julius) Kammermeier.
