Laura I. Zeltinger, 90, died of natural causes Sunday, Dec. 24, at her home in Missoula.
Born in Miles City to Charles and Victoria Westerstrom Kaiser, she was raised and educated in Miles City and Bismarck, N.D. She married Mathias A. Zeltinger in Flasher, N.D., where they lived for five years.
The couple later lived in Ollie, Mont.; Breien, N.D.; Napoleon, N.D.; Chamberlain, S.D.; and Pierre, S.D., while Mr. Zeltinger was employed by the U.S. Government as a private land purchase negotiator on dam construction.
After her husband's death on Dec. 6, 1962, she moved to Missoula. She was a nurse's aide at St. Patrick's Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, M. James, Omaha, Neb., and Michael D., Missoula; three daughters, Dorothy Maloney, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; Miriam Keffeler, Seattle, Wa.; and Gwendolyn Donnelly, Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Helen Clarke, Yountville, Calif., and Vivian Klepper, Missoula; two brothers, Raymond Kaiser, Williston, N.D., and Charles Kaiser, Miles City; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers, George, Walter, Emil, Harry, and Frederick Kaiser, and three sisters, Violet Munson, Bertha Davis and Ruth Fryer.
Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Garden City Funeral Home & Chapel.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Obersinner as celebrant.
Cremation will follow the services with burial at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Annex.
