EAST LIVERPOOL - Lois E. Snow, 89, of West 6th Street, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at 6:20 p.m., at the Calcutta Health Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 5, 1921, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Goldy A. Van Cooney.

She was owner and operator of the former Snow's Beauty Shop, and most recently was employed at Sparkle Market. She was Methodist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Meeks, and then later by her second husband, Herbert A. Snow.

Survivors include one son, Rodney L. Meeks of East Liverpool, as well as four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.

Dawson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
