SKINNER, BERTHA ANNIE, 92, of Birmingham died Sunday, September 18, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lathal Skinner, four brothers and one sister. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church She was a wonderful cook, caregiver and friend to all. She is survived by a sister, Pauline Rohing (Clarence) of Birmingham; four nephews, Melvin Rohling (Jackie), Douglas Cornelius (Betty), Edward Cornelius (Maxine), Edmond Paul Seifert (Sheila); niece, Benita Holt (Milton). Several great nieces and nephews; "A Special Nanny" to; Ricky, Randy & Kurk Roach and their family. Thank you to the staff of Medical Center East, 5 West and Birmingham East Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kindred Care Hospice, and Bertha's church family for their care and love.

Memorials maybe made to the Faith Lutheran Church, 6704 Deerfoot Parkway, P.O. Box 427, Clay AL 35048 The funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 5 to 8 PM. Rev. Michael Jenkins officiating. Ridout's Trussville Chapel directing.
