Orville M Freed of South Lakemont, Altoona died at 2 o`clock Sunday afternoon in the Altoona Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr Freed was born July 23,1890 at Shrader the son of John and Elizabeth (Johnson) Freed both deceased. He was proceded by his first wife the former Julia Bottorff in 1933. Mr Freed is survived by his second wife the former Bertha McCormick of Centre Hall, one son Calvin A of Navarre, Ohio and one daughter Mrs Charles (Helen) Hoar of Lewistown and one grand daughter whom he reared Mrs Harry (Nancy) Garthwaite of New Jersey. Also 4 step sons and one step daughter,11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren survive. He was a railroad employee, retiring in 1965 after 35 years service and a life member of AWFOL. For years Mr Freed attended Church at the Salvation Army. Services will be in charge of Captain Robert Manning Wednesday at 2 o`clock. Friends may call at the Hammer Funeral Home Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 o`clock.Burial will be in the Blair County Memorial Cemetery.
