William M. Simpson, of Pittsburgh, died Weds., March 9, 2011. Mr. Simpson was born on a farm in Sharon, North Dakota in 1923 and proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during WWII in France. After the war, Mr. Simpson earned an accounting degree from the Univ. of North Dakota. He worked for U.S. Steel his entire career, retiring in 1983, and was active in the Dithridge Tower Condominium Counsel, serving three 4 year terms as president. He will be greatly missed by three nieces in Florida and Colorado; various grand nieces; great grandnieces & nephews, and his companion of 40 years, Merle J. Moskowitz, Ph.D. No visitation. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Frazee, Minnesota. Arrangements, Freyvogel Sons, 4900 Centre Ave. at Devonshire St., Pittsburgh.
