Jeanne Cox, age 52, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her residence in Bloomington following an unexpected illness.
She was born November 2, 1958, the daughter of Carol (Stillwagon) Smith and Phillip Smith.
Jeanne grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Northside High School. She was a member of the College Avenue United Methodist Church. Jeanne was very artistic and enjoyed crafting and making presents for family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved music. Jeanne was employed by Centerstone for Behavioral Health and enjoyed her work and co-workers. Jeanne was very proud of her sons and loved her time spent with them and grand-daughter Braelynn.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Cox of Bloomington; sons, A1C Joshus David Brown, United States Air Force, Tampa, FL and HM3 (FMF) Andrew William ( wife Christina) Brown, United States Navy Pensacola, FL; one granddaughter, Braelynn Marie Brown, Pensacola, FL; sister Joyce Smith of Muncie; brother, Phillip Kevin Smith of Muncie, two sisters in-law, Jody cox and Jackie (husband Greg) Tate; mother in-law, Donna cox; special friend, Beth Haisley; and several nieces and nephews also surive her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, George and Mickey Stillwagon, and father in-law, George Cox.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Jackson officiating.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Firday, March 11, 2011, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home in Muncie. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial park.
