MOORE, W. ERNEST, age 92 of Hueytown, Alabama passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend and helper to many. Mr. Moore was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of Marathana Sunday School Class. He also traveled on missions trips as a Master's Craftsmen building churches. Mr. Moore served in the Army during World War II at the Panama Canal. He was retired from Birmingham Southern Railroad after 40 years of service. He enjoyed square dancing with his beloved wife, Nell. They were members of the Western Shufflers for over 26 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Fairley Moore; his parents, William Blandton Moore and Josie Gamble Moore; his brothers, Claude Moore and Melvin Moore; and sister, Pauline Griffin. He is survived by his daughter, Carole Beddingfield (H.B.); grandson, David Simmons, granddaughter, Jennifer Gray (Jim); great-grandchildren, Joshua and Megan Simmons, Jaxon and Makayla Gray; brothers, Harold Moore, Sterling Moore (Jo), Joe Moore, Max Moore (Darlene); and sisters, Catherine Smith and Ann Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
