He owned two grocery stores at different times, on Zimmer Road and on Merridian Road, both in Ingham Co., MI. During the retirement years, he and Marie lived in Arizona where they were rock-hounds.

"During Roy's lifetime, he worked on his father's farm in Wheatfield Twp., Ingham, MI. He graduated as Valedictorian of his high school class in Williamston, Ingham, MI. After marriage, he was a Customs Inspector on the Blue Water Bridge at Port Huron, MI. He also worked at Motor Wheel in Lansing, Ingham, MI. He owned two grocery stores at different times, on Zimmer Road and on Merridian Road, both in Ingham Co., MI. During the retirement years, he and Marie lived in Arizona where they were rock-hounds.
"Roy's ashes were scattered toward Black Butte, Arizona, on the campgrounds of a favorite ranch there near Congress, AZ."
