Laura Elizabeth Buck was married on June 9, 1846 in Chambers County, Texas to Theophilus Winfree, son of Absolom Winfree. She was remarried in 1850 in Liberty County, Texas to Augustus "Gus" Richard Buck, son of Mary Buck.

Laura Buck, who is yet living, is also a native daughter of Texas, and she remembers well the battle of San Jacinto, although she was but six years old at that time. Her husband, Theophile Winfree, was a member of a French family, and he was born in Louisiana and came to Texas during his early years. Mr. and Mrs. Dunman have five children: Mrs. Emma J. Rynerson, Mrs. Mary E. Perry, Robert, Theophilus W. and Zoe E. Dunman. The Dunman home is in a beautiful location a short distance from Coleman and is one of the hospitable and attractive homes of the community.
