Patty Ellen Malone Worrell

Patty Ellen Malone Worrell, 79, of West Terre Haute passed away at 9:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, in her residence. She was born March 18, 1931, to Charles Malone and Lottie Meeks Malone.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Elmer "Nook" Malone.
Survivors include: Her loving husband of 60 years, James Worrell whom she married in Riddle, Oregon on Nov. 10, 1950. They have three children, Michael Worrell and his wife, Rosemarie Scott, John Worrell and his wife, Marleena of Dennison, Ill., and Rebecca Pearson of Terre Haute; a brother, Charles "Pete" Malone; two sisters, Jackie Bovenschen of Brazil and Mable "Tootie" Benjamen of Terre Haute; 11 grandchildren, Erin Worrell, John Drue Worrell, Meredith Worrell, Isaac Worrell, Seth Landon Worrell, Drake Worrell, Jensen Thome, Jessica Thome, Devin Pearson, Morgan Worrell, and Mitchell Worrell; six great-grandchildren, E.J. Weatherspoon, Ty Johnson, Elijah Weatherspoon, Mahki Johnson, Jayden Pearson, and Mason Pearson, and also several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post No. 972 Ladies Auxillary, and she had been involved in local politics. She had worked in the City Hall, the Vigo County Courthouse, the operating engineers, and also worked as chief deputy for the West Terre Haute Trustees office for twelve years.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Father Bernie LaMontagne officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m until service time Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice Foundation, 3401 S. 4th St., Terre Haute, IN 47802 or with envelopes available in the funeral home.
