Dorothea F. 'Dot' (Joslin) Garrison
Dorothea F. "Dot" (Joslin) Garrison, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of New Whiteland.
She was born Feb. 9, 1914, in Bartholomew County. Her parents were Charles and Myrtle (Cook) Joslin. She married Lawrence Garrison on Dec. 22, 1934. He preceded her in death March 1, 1973. Survivors include a son, William L. Garrison of Franklin; a daughter, Barbara A. Blaschke of Mooresville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five stepsisters; and two stepbrothers. She was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and one stepsister.
She was employed by Sargent Paint Manufacturing Co. in Indianapolis in the customer service department for 28 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of New Whiteland Christian Church, Greater Whiteland Seniors 50 Club and Greenwood Senior Citizens.
The Rev. David Owens will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
