Albercht, Catharina and their children immigrated to America in February 1854. They settled in Watertown Township, Washington County, Ohio shortly after their arrival.
Christiana married John C. Smith on December 25, 1871 in Washington County, Ohio.
Together they had 7 children: Mary Catherine, Albert Henry, John Christian, Henry William, Edward Adam, Laura Elizabeth and Frank Charles.
She passed away on the morning of January 6, 1924. Her cause of death was "Apoplexy". She was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery.
