A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Staley, NC officiated by Rev. Elton Wilborne; burial will follow in Staley Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was the son of the late William Marvin and Flora Shaw Jones and was also preceded in death by his son, little Tommy Jones and five brothers, Elwood, Virgil, Billy, Luther, and Bobby Jones.
Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Marlene B. Jones; son, Wesley (Nicole) of High Point; two sisters, Virginia Elmore of Sophia and Sally Jane Hawker of Idaho; one brother, Jimmie Jones (Ann) of High Point; five grandchildren, Connor, Nicholas, Paige, Grace and Will; a special great-nephew, Jacob Hart; mother-in-law, Mila Brinkley; several nieces and nephews; special care giver and friend, Clyde McManus and special friend, Jake Hart.
