John Chiras, 44, of 78 Loxwood Street in Worcester, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after a struggle with cancer.
He leaves his fiancee, Paula M. Asselta of Worcester; a daughter, Melissa Sinclair-Nail of Barre; a stepdaughter, Nichole Asselta of Worcester; a brother Thomas L. Chiras of the Gilbertville section of Hardwick; four sisters, Pauline M. Dufresne, Linda M. Bandilla and Betty Ann Bjorkman, all of Worcester, and Ruth M. Prunier of Brookfield; two grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, son of Peter and Ruth E. (Braman) Chiras. Mr. Chiras was a self-employed roofer and worked with Ezold Roofing Co., now known as R&R Roofing. His funeral was held Saturday, September 21st at Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home in Worcester. The Mass was at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Worcester, MA.
