June Francis Rice, age 79, of Storm Lake died Friday April 18, 2003 at her home in Storm Lake after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Storm Lake United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jamie Cutler officiating. Burial will be in the LeRoy City Cemetery in LeRoy, Minnesota.
Friends may call at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
There will be a graveside service at 10:30 on Thursday at the LeRoy Cemetery in LeRoy, MN under the direction of Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy. MN.
June Francis Konradi was born November 29,1923 in Ida County, Iowa the daughter of Jake and Winnie (Wimberly) Konradi. She began her education attending country school in Ida County through the 8th grade and Battle Creek High School through the 11th grade.
On March 6, 1943 June was united in marriage to Glen Rice in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
June was a member of the Storm Lake United Methodist Church. She had received her baptism from the Catholic Church in Ida Grove in 1924. During her married years, June was a housewife and enjoyed playing BINGO.
Survivors include her husband Glen Rice of Storm Lake; sons: Steve Rice of Sioux Rapids, Dennis (Deb) Rice of LeRoy, Minnesota, Kenny Rice of Sparks, Nevada and Jason (Elizabeth) Rice; brother, Clyde Konradi of Storm Lake; sisters: Helen Ellis of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Dorine Oehler of Storm Lake; nineteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Winnie Konradi; sons: Timmy Rice, Glen "Sonny"Rice, and Jim Rice; brothers, Floyd, Earl, and Bobby Konradi; and sister, Dorthy Mae Schuning.
