Wife of Bank President Expires Early Today

Mrs. Geneva Wilson Emery, wife of one of Muskegon's leading citizens, John G. Emery Jr., president of the National Lumberman's bank and former manager of the Shaw Crane Works, died early today t her home, 446 W. Webster Avenue. She was 77 years old.
Though Mrs. Emery had been an invalid for many years, her death came as a shock to many older residents of the community. She had lived here 45 years.
Mrs. Emery was born Sept. 27, 1858 in Flint. Her maiden name was Geneva Hayward Wilson.
When a girl she moved with her parents to Columbus, Ohio, where she attended public schools. She was married to Mr. Emery there Feb. 14, 1883, and they established their first home in Minneapolis.
They remained in Minneapolis for five years, and then moved to Milwaukee for two years before coming to Muskegon in 1890.
She leaves Mr. Emery and a sister, Miss May H. Wilson of Granville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. S.N. Oliver, pastor of the First Congregational church, is conducting. Burial will be in Oakwood.
