Mrs. Elizabeth A. Gowen died in her home
at 55 Merrimack Street last last night.
She had a very serious illness about four years ago which left her in poor health and caused her death.
She was the widow of Orrin A. Gowen.
She came to Amesbury when a young girl and had resided here ever since.
She was employed at the Merrimack Hat Company for a number of years.
She was very well known to the residents, being a woman of a kindly, happy disposition, she was liked by all and made many friends.
