Alick S. Lawrence, 58, of Westfield died Friday at home after a long illness. He was the father of Mrs. Isabella Bowlby of Kenilworth.

Born in Alvah, Scotland, he came to the United States in 1942, settling in Westfield. He had been employed as a carpenter and worked out of the Carpenter's Local 155, Plainfield.

Also surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lois Wiar Lawrence; two sons, Allan of Brea, Calif., and Leigh of Atoscadora, Calif; another daughter, Mrs. Jeannie Leighton of Piscataway; three brothers and three sisters in Scotland, and three grandchildren.

Services were conducted yesterday at the Gray Funeral Home, 318 E. Broad St., Westfield, by Rev. Albert Edwards of the Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Westfield, of which Mr. Lawrence was a member. Interment was in Hollywood Cemetary, Union.
