Florence M. Rettof, 88, former longtime Streator resident, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Burton Adult Family Home in Vancouver, Washington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

Visitation will be from 3-6 P.M. Sunday at the Solon – Telford Funeral Home, Streator. A vigil service will be held at 3 P.M. A rosary will be recited at 5:45 P.M.

Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Jerry Curtis, Joe Pavlick, Steven Pavlick, George Pavlick, Brian Schmitt and Joe Rettof. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Pavlick, Neal Komsteller and Ralph Wargo.

Born November 7, 1922 in Streator, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna (Miklos) Pavlick. She married George Rettof on June 25, 1946 at St. Stephen's Church, Streator. He passed away February 1, 2005.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary (Chuck) Folkins of Vancouver, Washington; a son, George "Rich" (Peggy) Rettof of West Bloomfield, Michigan; five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and five sisters.

Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Stephen's Grade School and Streator High School . She retired from First Midwest Bank, Streator after working in the installment loan department for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
