Thomas Dunn English
Birth: Jun. 28, 1819
Death: Apr. 1, 1902

US Congressman. He was elected as a Democrat to represent New Jersey's 6th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1891 to 1895. He was a medical doctor, and wrote numerous poems, ballads and folk songs, including the song "Ben Bolt" in 1843.
