Mr. Young had ___ about Paullina for a great many years and made many friends who __ ___ lament his death.
Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church with Rev. Arthur Evans officiating.
Franklin Louis Young was born June 6, 1858 at Sterling, Ill. He passed away very suddenly at about 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, December 24, 1923. Age 65 years, 6 months and __ days. Mr. Young came to O'Brien Co. some 35 years ago and had resided in and about Paullina until his death. He leaves to mourn his passing two children, Florence of Riceville, Ia., and Raymond of Paullina; a sister, Mrs. J.A. Dickson of Milwaukee, Ws., and many old neighbors and friends about Paullina.
Mr. Young suffered an attack of bronchial pneumonia a year ago this winter and never fully recovered from the effects thereof. He undertook physical exertion that was too much for his weak heart, and collapsed in almost momentary expiration. Mr. Young was more or less of an adherent to the Presbyterian church all of his life, occasionally attending evening service in the local church.
