Mrs. Bernice Wynn, age 81, of Douglasville, Ga., passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010, following an extended illness. She was born July 1, 1928, in Gainesville, Ga., daughter of the late Mr. Homer Raines and the late Mrs. Millie Samples Raines. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Lithia Springs. She retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse. After retirement, she worked for the Douglas County Board of Education.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Hanson and Virby McKenzie; and brothers, Adron Raines and Raid Raines.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas E. Wynn of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Harry Young of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Glenda Harrison of Douglasville; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jan and Dudley Wallace of Atlanta; stepsons, Cary Wynn of Florence, Ala., and Steve Wynn of Douglasville; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, May 3, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Chaplain Harold Peacock officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel.
