Actor. He was a popular character performer whom appeared in several films in the 1960s, such as "Irma La Douce" (1963), "Annie Get Your Gun" (1967) and "The Road Hustlers" (1968). For television he was best known for the role of Deputy Marshal Chalk Breeson on the series "Outlaws". He also was a regular on "Hogan's Heroes", "Bonanza" and "The Wide Country". Besides acting, he also sang baritone for the San Francisco Opera from 1971 until his death.
