Jennie Ragsdale Hooper Southerland, 80, of Illinois, died at 6:30 a.m. May 25 at St. Joseph Hospital in Clinton County, Illinois.
Mrs. Southerland was formerly of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick D. Southerland in 1966.
Survivors include: two sons, Meredith Hooper of Carlile, Ill. & Simeon W. Hooper of Venice, Calif.; eight grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. May 27 at Bosley Funeral Home with burial in Ryder Cemetery. Rev. J. Lonnie Bradley of Springfield Baptist Church officiated.
