After his father's death Daniel and Aletha moved to Warren Co., IL. His widowed mother Margaret and Aletha's Parents also moved there. Four of their children were born there: George, Theodosia, Cora, and Mary.
Prior to June 1870 the family moved to the Grant Tsp., Adams Co., IA. Five children were born in there: Edgar, Mytra, Sara, James and Carrie. The family remained there until after October 1880.
