Bluegrass Musician. He was the lead singer with the "Blue Grass Boys" until 1955, when he formed his own band, the "Sunny Mountain Boys"; then recorded with Decca records for 18 years. He recorded 138 titles including "Ocean Of Diamonds," "Sophronie," "Widow Maker" and "Sunny Side Of The Mountain," He was inducted into the International Bluegrass Hall of Fame in 1995.
