Ira Holland, aged 24 years, died of typhoid-pneumonia at the home of his parents. He was a well-known young man. He became ill in Paris, Texas. He was the third son of F. P. Holland, publisher of Farm and Rand and Holland's Magazine. Besides his father an dmother and his grandmother, Mrs. F. R. Allen, he is survived by one sister, Miss Gussie Holland, and four brothers, Frank Jr., Reginald V., Porter, and Marsh. (Source: Dallas Morning News, August 26, 1909, pg 4)
