Sylvester Sellers dies; services set for 11 Thursday
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Quigley-Moore Chapel for Sylvester Sellers, 79, of 1014 South 28th Ave., who died at his home late Tuesday. Rev. H. R. Carswell will officiate and burial will be in Crestview [sic] Cemetery.
Mr. Sellers was a member of 28th Ave. Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. M. M. Hegwood of Zachary, La., Mrs. J. B. Hartfield of New Orleans and Mrs. C. L. Spiers of Kenner, La.; seven sons, Baxter, Jack, William and Charles Sellers, all of Hattiesburg, George and Roland Sellers of New Orleans and Raymond Sellers of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Annie Kelly of Moss Point; three brothers, Devan and Taylor Sellers of Hattiesburg, and J. Webb Sellers of Middleton, Tex.; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
