Hazel Kathleen Lawson, Raven, Va., died Monday at a Richlands, Va., hospital.

Born in Russell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late John Richard and Eva Belle Dye Tuggle. She was a life long resident of the Raven area. She was of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Survivors: husband, Quentin "Kit" Lawson; daughter, Linda Sue Lawson of the home; sons, Arthur Lawson and Kenneth Lawson of Raven, Dennis Wayne Lawson of Swords Creek, Va., Randall Lawson of Verona, Va., Keith Lawson of Roanoke, Va.; sisters, Mrs. Thelma Ray and Mrs. Mollie Lawson of Raven; brothers, Luther Tuggle and Charlie Tuggle of Raven and nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel, Richlands, with the Rev. Max Linkous officiating and burial at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Va.

Friends may call at the funeral home today until the time of service.
