Adm Charles Randall "Cat" Brown

United States Navy Admiral. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland in 1921 and earned his pilot's wings in 1924. He was the Captain of the aircraft carriers "USS Kalinin Bay" and "USS Hornet" in the Pacific Ocean during World War II. In 1952, he was named commander of Carrier Division 6 in the Mediterranean Sea. He was named commander of the United States Navy's Sixth Fleet in 1956 and was appointed commander-in chief of Allied Forces in Southern Europe in 1959. He retired in 1962.
