Mrs Anthony (Ella Mills) Mathias, 92, of Tower Hill died 8:25 a.m. Sunday (May 11, 1980) in Hawthorne Lodge, Pana.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Stumpf-Dodson Funeral Home, Pana, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery. Memorials: Hawthorne Lodge.
Mrs Mathias was born in Shelby County, daughter of John and Mary Mathias (should this be Mills?). She was a member of Mezeppa Chapter Order of Eastern Star and the Pana Rebekah Lodge. She married Anthony Mathias in 1911. He died in 1966.
Surviving are her sons, Edwin of Tower Hill, Garvin "Bill" of Port Austin, MI, A B "Junior" of Beecher City; daughters, Mrs Clarence (Thelma) Barringer of Tower Hill, Mrs Woodrow (Margaret) McNeese of Ottawa; stepbrother, Lloyd Pollard of Pana; stepsisters, Ada Cordary of Taylorville; Jean Partelow of Pana; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
